AI is evolving and shifting from laptops to portable devices like phones and wearables. Google, Humane, and Meta are among the pioneers bringing AI to phones, wearable devices, and smart glasses. Facebook parent Meta is now bringing the tech to its smart glasses. Meta just upgraded their Ray-Ban smart glasses with cool new features.
They're supercharging them with their advanced multimodal AI. The model "that can both see and hear on" the glasses and answer questions just like an AI chatbot, like Google Assistant or Apple's Siri would do when asked a certain question.
"Rolling out multimodal AI that can both see and hear on Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses for early access. You can ask Meta AI to translate images, create captions, identify objects, and more," Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced in a post on his Instagram channel.
