When will iOS 17.2 update be released?

 

In September, Apple rolled out iOS 17, but some users faced WiFi speed issues after updating. Even after the 17.1.1 fix, the problem persists, leading to the upcoming iOS 17.1.2. While details are scarce, experts anticipate it next week, with iOS 17.2 expected to tackle reported problems and bring new features.

What's New in iOS 17.1 update?

Users can now star songs, albums, playlists, or artists, saving them to the library. "Out of Range" option for AirDrop allows file exchange over Wi-Fi or cellular data, even when devices aren't close. Latest iPhones with an always-on display (like iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro) can now act as smart displays in landscape mode while charging.

How to Check for iOS 17.1.2 Update?

1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
2. Scroll down and select General.
3. Look for Software Update.
4. Click on Automatic Updates.
5. When available, choose Download iOS 17.1.2.
6. Tap Install iOS updates.

Additionally, Apple plans to adopt the RCS standard next year, enhancing text messaging between iPhones and Android devices. 

RCS enables better text features, allowing Apple users to text Android users over Wi-Fi, share larger files, operate group chats efficiently, and track message delivery and read status, all while maintaining encryption. This marks a departure from Apple's exclusive iMessage features for Apple devices.
